Truth and Reconciliation

This land has heard and seen beauty created for so long, as we create, let’s remember that part of reclaiming art includes learning from the wisdom of the Indigenous creators who have been here long before us. We reclaim art on a land that belongs to them, and was never ceded to colonizers. All Are Welcome

This is a space that is welcoming of people of all genders, orientations, races, abilities, religions and classes. Conversations, words or images that promote intolerance or encourage an “us” vs “them” perspective will be challenged. Part of our decolonizing work includes acknowledging that there are systems in place in our society that are built to keep some people struggling while others sit in spaces of privilege. We are working to grow our awareness of places where we have privilege, and want to use our privilege to elevate and support people in marginalized groups. When we have privilege, we use our art to reclaim space for other voices. When we are part of a marginalized group, we will use our art to be a voice to speak out for our community in a meaningful way.

AI Conversations

All artists are on journeys and the soul of an artist cannot be replicated through something online. AI can be a fantastic tool for accessibility and points in a process where you’re limited by things you’re unable to complete on your own without a million dollar budget or a 100 cast production. We ask for your transparency in sharing if AI was used in your process of creating in any way. It will not limit your ability to be in the show, but we ask that your work come from your artistic soul.
